Afterburner does show up in the icons try by default but it can be disabled i think. That issue happens only in windows 7 for many users and its only happens with a few app's and evga precision + afterburner are 2 of them ! I would honestly just reinstall precision x, as you are familiar with it already anyway, they do the exact.
